Full metallization

The origin of the KINEGRAM technology: fully metallized diffractive security foils.

During the foil production process, a thin layer of aluminum is vacuum-evaporated onto a carrier material. Before the metallization, the diffractive image is embossed into the material. The silver colored aluminum makes the diffractive image visible.

Partial metallization

Partial removal of the aluminum layer allows for intricate design elements, such as microtexts or small images, to be isolated from the main design area. This enables the creation of more interesting and unusual shapes of the KINEGRAM foil element.

KINEGRAM ZERO.ZERO

Award-winning, unique high-precision partial metallization. The “metal on demand” process of KINEGRAM ZERO.ZERO technology enables the addition of finely detailed metallic images only where the foil's optical security effects and the design requires them.

High Definition (partial) Metallization technology, an innovative solution for partially metallized foils. The HDM technology opens up new possibilities for KINEGRAM® features as, for the first time ever, metallic designs and patterns with an extremely high line resolution of below 10 microns can be created.

 

This novelty in the security foil industry enables the creation of exceedingly precise metallic shapes and images. HDM is especially suitable for projects requiring great freedom for banknote designers.
