With the KINEGRAM Crypto Seal, paper based certificates can now be securely protected against misuse and manipulation. The authenticity of documents can be verified with absolute certainty by inspecting the optically variable KINEGRAM device and scanning two unique codes in one smartphone shot, using a customized app solution.

Why is the QR Code not openly readable and signed?

All data is RSA signed and therefore also encrypted, asymmetric, as a by-product.
From the use case, the QR code should be clearly readable and the signature should be verifiable. Under these circumstances, however, we would have the data twice in the QR code.

What is the QR Code in the KINEGRAM necessary for?

The public key for the signed and encrypted QR-Code is in the app, the QR code in the KINEGRAM is just the hash value that refers to the key in the app. Thus, several keys can be used in the app.

What can be done with stolen/lost blanks?

If blank documents are lost with KINEGRAM, nothing actually happens because the private key for signing is still in the customer's possession. An existing personalised QR code could be printed, but a new QR code could not be generated.

Can CryptoSeal be used for decentral issuing of documents?

Yes, several private keys are used here, combined with correspondingly adapted public keys and KINEGRAM hash values.
In principle, small and very small runs of Crypto-Seal patches are feasible, but each case must be assessed separately.
