Equipped with a maximum size photograph in accordance with latest ICAO recommendations, ID cards in portrait format enable more reliable authentication of identities. Both the personalization and the portrait are optimally protected with a highly sophisticated KINEGRAM PCI with FDP feature. It contains proven security effects based on the unique KINEGRAM technology.

1. The clouds and mountain/cross elements, realized with a fine-line metallization, are placed in the laserable area of the portrait. A modified laser personalization makes sure that the Kinegram is fully functional.
2. The famous “Matterhorn” mountain with the Swiss cross is realized with a Diffractive Watermark effect, i.e., the contrast between bright and dark areas reverses when the document is turned 180°.
3. The mountain train includes several 2nd and 3rd level security features.
4. Transparent, diffractive fine lines symbolizing water are protectively positioned over sensitive personal data such as the dates of birth and expiry.
