The Visible Digital Seal (VDS) is a highly secure barcode and printable seal that allows digital ID checks and protects paper-based or digital documents against misuse and counterfeiting. It contains the principal information of the respective document as well as a cryptographically secured digital signature that protects against data manipulation and ensures the authenticity. It warrants document integrity and is an essential tool in the strive to create secure documents.

Unlike more complex solutions such as RFID chips, a Visible Digital Seal or secure QR code can be easily printed on any document – for example social insurance cards, travel documents, vaccination certificates or visas. Within seconds and using a standard printer of your choice, the document is protected by a secure code which can then be easily and conveniently verified with any conventional smartphone or standard document reader, anywhere in the world.

Rapidly issued and conveniently printed, the VDS does not need any special know-how or equipment.
